Luciano Paradisi

Amateur photographer since the 60s, I gave professional outlet to my hobby opening a photography studio in 1981.

From 1986 to 1989 I worked for the daily newspaper "Il Centro" as a photojournalist and photographer of the illustrated supplements. The National Park of Abruzzo, Lazio and Molise using my photographs from 1991 to audiovisual diaporami, postcards, publications.

In 1999 I started working for "L’inchiostroblu", Zola Predosa (Bologna) publisher, making pictures for photo books:

• In collaboration with RAI journalist Ennio Bellucci I realized photographs for photo books:
• Paesi: i luoghi della memoria, viaggio nell'Abruzzo aquilano (Towns: the places of memory, journey in L'Aquila area of Abruzzo)
• Paesi: i luoghi, le radici, l'arte, la storia (viaggio nella provincia di Pescara) (Towns: the places, the roots, the art, the story (journey through the province of Pescara)
• I segni del silenzio (fotografia Guido e Luciano Paradisi) (Signs of silence) (photography Luciano and Guido Paradisi).

I have exhibited my photographs in solo exhibitions among them in Milan for the Association Abruzzese R. Mattioli with images of the National Parks of Abruzzo and in Campo di Giove with the exhibition "Images of a popular culture of Abruzzo."

I made photo reportage trips in India, Nepal and other countries.

I directed and edited two documentaries for the National Park of Gran Sasso and Monti della Laga, "ACQUE BOSCHI UOMINI" (WATER WOODS MEN) and "L'AMBIENTE NATURALE, I CENTRI STORICI, LA PRESENZA DELL'UOMO" (THE NATURAL ENVIRONMENT, THE OLD TOWN, THE PRESENCE OF MAN) shown during the events organized by the Park.

In the 1999 I was invited, as a “documentarist of Abruzzo”, to the "VI International Short Film Festival" in the section "Abruzzo of the documentaries" organized by Multimedia Institute "Writing and Image" in Pescara, with two documentaries produced by "mediAmbiente" of which I took care, here too, of direction and editing.

 Guido Paradisi

In 1992 I graduated at the Art Institute V. Bellisario of Pescara in the arts of printing and graphic design. Since 1993 I am interested in "moving images" studying the language of cinema. The intent is to use the experience and passion for naturalistic images in documentary where photography and music are the media players. In 1996 I founded, with two partners, the production company "mediAmbiente" that makes video documentaries with mainly naturalistic content.

I made two documentaries for the National Park of Gran Sasso and Monti della Laga, "ACQUE BOSCHI UOMINI" (WATER WOODS MEN) and "L'AMBIENTE NATURALE, I CENTRI STORICI, LA PRESENZA DELL'UOMO" (THE NATURAL ENVIRONMENT, THE OLD TOWN, THE PRESENCE OF MAN), shown during the events organized by the Park.

•  Fra’ Mariano da Roccacasale (2000 56 minutes, Betacam SP); biography of Blessed Mariano from Roccacasale.
• Il castello di Pacentro, roccaforte della Maiella (The castle of Pacentro, stronghold of the Maiella) (1999 34 minutes, Betacam SP); history and restoration of the castle – documentary.
• X N (1999, 11 minutes, Betacam SP); nonverbal video message about manipulation of the environment.
• L'ambiente naturale, i centri storici, la presenza dell'uomo (The natural environment, historic centers, the presence of man) (1997, 30 minutes, S-VHS) about Gran Sasso chain.
• Gesti e riti della fede(Gestures and rituals of the faith) (1996, 58 minutes, S-VHS) about "Gioia dei Marsi Company" – documentary.
• Acque, boschi, uomini (Water woods men) (1996, 30 minutes, S-VHS) about Laga Mounts.

In 1993/1994 I was a lecturer at the 'Enfap Abruzzo for courses in graphic design and photography where I taught the use of modern techniques of photography and layout into two different courses. The first was reserved for people with disabilities, to whom I taught the use of the PC and graphics software, the second aimed at personnel for the use of software about photo editing, page layout and image culture.

Since 2000, in the footsteps of my father, I collaborate, and later became the photo studio owner.

I support Luciano in the realization of photographic works by bringing my knowledge in new techniques and digital

image processing, together with him I sign the photograph of the book "I segni del silenzio” (Signs of Silence) (photography Luciano and Guido Paradisi).

In 2012, in collaboration with the Association Giostra Cavalleresca I take care and realizable photos of the official magazine of the "Giostra Cavalleresca of Sulmona" aimed at a selected audience.

In 2013 I was the official photographer of the ISAL campaign in central Abruzzo "Do not suffer is an everyone right " and made portraits of some of Abruzzo excellences.
